The other night, I climbed into bed and cuddled up behind Mike, who had been in bed and asleep for some time already. I was just about into la-la land when something freaky happened. It occurred in the matter of a second but it is vivid enough for me to recall it exactly as it happened. From the corner of the room, where the walls meet the ceiling, a small metal ball appeared. It was about the size of a ping pong ball and hollow in the center, but it had a bit more weight to it. The ball streaked out of the corner on a direct path for the top of my head. In its wake, it left a tail of electricity. When the ball made contact with the top of my head, I felt like I was being lightly electrocuted. The ball bounced off the top of my head, ricocheted of the wall and bounced out the window (which was closed but it just sort of oozed through the window). I was now very much awake and slightly afraid. I wanted to wake Mike up but what the heck was I going to say? So, I just lay there wide awake, searching the dark upper corners of the room for any other orbs that may have been waiting to attack me until I eventually fell asleep.
And so it electrically goes...
