Stupid Moment of the Day

I am in charge of picking up my parents' mail while they are away. Today, I was excited to see a free sample of some kind mixed in the pile of flyers and bills. I tossed the sample in with other mail that was either mine or that I was pilfering (I took the Canadian Tire flier that somehow missed being delivered to our house and a Showcase Homes magazine...I wasn't stealing registered mail if that's what you're thinking!). When I got home, I grabbed the free sample and started to open it. I could see it was something from Glad and I thought it was a freezer bag of some sort. It wasn't until after I got the package open and had my stupid moment that I realized it was a bag for steaming vegetables in the microwave. But this critical piece of information hadn't quite registered in my brain when I saw a warning printed near the top of the bag. The warning said, "Wait 30 seconds before opening." So I did.
