Every year, Mike's family makes predictions about what will occur in the coming year. They can be personal predictions (like a family member getting married) or they can be on a global scale (such as the outcome of a major sporting event, the death of a famous figure or something political). Each person writes out three predictions and then all the papers get sealed up for the year and are not looked at again until the following New Years. Since we weren't invited to their New Years get together this year (and technically we weren't invited to Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve, but I'm not bitter about either of those LOL), I decided to make my own predictions on here. The nice thing is, I don't have to limit my predictions to just three AND I don't have to wait a whole year to see if I was right! So here we go (in no particular order of their occurence):
1) we will be pregnant this year
2) we will come into a significant sum of money
3) Colby will make the senior volleyball team in Grade 11
4) Britney Spears will overdose
5) another major natural catastrophe will hit the U.S. prompting dozens of celebrity run telethons to raise money for their poor, poor citizens when the government should have taken more preventative measures in the first place
6) the iPod Touch will be replaced by February 16th with a smaller, sleeker, more powerful version making ours obsolete
7) the diamond mines will finally take off this year, causing a bigger boom in PA than Saskatoon could ever dream of
8) Mike will finally start his house flipping business
9) Joel will make significant improvements with strengthening his central core (thus making walking a more realistic goal)
10) at least one of these ten predictions will come true!
