At What Age...

...do I stop referring to females of a similar age to mine as 'girls'? I recently made reference to my 'nail girl' partially because I never know what to refer to her as. Nail woman? That doesn't sound right. It brings to mind a 50 year old doing my nails (not that there'd be anything wrong with that). Nail technician? Too PC. Nail beautifier of the female gender? Waaaaay too PC.

Moving away from nails, I find that I often refer to females in general as 'girls' unless they are five to ten years older than me or more. To refer to someone who is my age as a 'woman' just seems sort of weird. But the kicker is that I refer to myself as a woman and would take offense if someone called me a girl. Is this making sense? What I'm trying to get at it, is that during those times when I am at a loss for an appropriate label, it just feels funny to refer to a 25 or 30 year old as a woman only because it seems like an "old" label. At least I've moved beyond referring to all females as 'chicks'.
