Up, Up And Away

If you happen to see a large, pink and purple, heart shaped helium balloon floating passed your house, that was part of Mike's gift to me for Valentine's day. The balloon has been stuck to our dining room ceiling for the past two months and it still had a ton of helium left in it. After supper tonight, Mike, Colby and I went outside (Joel was too busy getting acquainted with his newly rented movies) and let the balloon go to see how high up it would travel. Well, it didn't travel up very high, but it shot across our backyard and through the park in a heartbeat. Within a matter of seconds, it would have been on 6th Avenue. Last we saw it, it was heading in a northwest direction, towards the Pennitentiary. I should have attached a note with our phone number on it and asked whoever found it to please phone us, just so we could see how far it travelled. It almost makes me want to go out and spend another $10 on a Safeway balloon, all for the sake of an amusing experiment.
