Photo Op

This past weekend up at Little Bear, I had the opportunity to take engagement photos of my brother, Brady and his fiancee, Kristan. I've played around with my camera quite a bit, but my subjects have never consisted of more than Shandi, Mike and Joel, so I was excited at the chance to take "real" pictures. I scoured the internet for different poses so that I would be able to give Brady and Kristan a little bit of direction. What I wasn't planning on was the incredible northern Saskatchewan sunset as a back drop. I'm pretty happy with how the pictures turned out, but I told B&K that it makes my job that much easier when I've got such a good looking pair of people to focus on (is that creepy to say that about your brother?). One of the bride's favourite shots is the one where it's just their feet and she is on her tip toes trying to kiss Brady - I have to give credit to Marc Vandersluys for the shot. And I totally stole the song from the "Where The Hell Is Matt?" video, but I think it fits quite nicely. Let me know what you think.

  1. Fantastic Jyl. Thanks a bunch, you've got a great talent.
It would have been nice to throw a couple water ski shots in perhaps?

  2. LOL...what was I thinking with not putting those in? Give me ten minutes and I can whip up another slideshow of your skiing shots!

  3. Very nice set of pictures, they make a great couple !
I like the pic where they both look in the same direction, reminds me of the famous sentence : 'Love is not about looking at each other but looking in the same direction' :)
