> I finally got the Christmas decorations and the tree put away. It only took about a half hour and I'm not sure why I delayed doing it for so long. As I was coming up the stairs with a large plastic bin in my arms, my left big toe caught my right pant leg. I tripped and fell up the stairs which resulted in scraping my elbow along the lovely jagged stucco circa 1985. In the same instant, the plastic bin hit the stairs and the momentum of my falling body crashed into the bin. That has left a lovely purple bruise on the right side of my chest. I tell you, it takes a certain amount of talent to pull off some of the trips and falls I've taken.
> I found out today that my niece, Isabella (who lives in Guadalajara, Mexico and will turn 9 this May), beat out 80 other competitors to secure a spot on the regional gymnastics team. The team is training for the Pan American games that will be held in Guadalajara in 2011. Way to go Isabella!!
