An Exciting Possibility

This is a big maybe, but the possibility was discussed last night of my going to Italy and Germany for a few days in the summer!

You see, my aunt, uncle and their two little girls live in Saudi Arabia. Every summer, my aunt and uncle fly the girls all the way back to Saskatoon and then the two of them fly back to Greece or some other romantic destination. Last summer, they wanted a volunteer to fly to Frankfurt and pick up the girls and fly with them back to Canada. There were no takers (let me point out that I wasn't asked). My aunt and uncle would pay for the volunteer's flight (with Aeroplan points).

When my mom mentioned this, my mind immediately started making plans and wondering how I could squeak in a quick trip to Verona. Mom said that Aeroplan flights are allowed a stop over. So, by the end of the conversation, we had it mapped out that I could fly into Verona, stay for a few days and then travel to Schwandorf, Germany (where my sister lives) and spend a few more days. I would travel to Frankfurt to meet my aunt and uncle and then fly home with the girls.

This is obviously only a slight possibility, but the fact that it is possible makes me super excited! I e-mailed my aunt tonight and said that if they are looking for someone, I whole-heartedly toss my hat into the ring as a volunteer! Talk about a cheap trip to Europe...one week for under $1000! I shall keep you all informed...
