Introducing... (Updated)

...from the lower left side of the uterus...

...measuring in at a whopping 9mm...

...with a heartbeat of 131 beats per minute...

...at 7 weeks, 1 day old...

...it's Baby Taves!

Yes, Baby Taves looks like a lump on the side of my uterine wall, but that is our little lump. I went for an ultrasound today at RUH and I nearly cried when I heard the tiny little heartbeat (but I didn't want to be too cliche...is that weird of me?). I go back for another ultrasound in three weeks...the nurses said we will be amazed at how much more it looks like a little person, complete with nubby little arms and legs!! How is this possible that I am already so much in love with this little being and I haven't even met her yet??

I forgot to mention that we could actually see the baby's heart beating...how flipping cool is that?? It was just this wee tiny mass of white thumping up and down - my baby is no bigger than an apple seed and her little heart would be the size of a pin head and I could SEE it! I could see it!

Creating a life is just too cool :-)
