This Can't Be Good

I had a bump on my finger that started to grow. It looked like it was full of blood. My first thought? Blood blister. So, naturally I popped it. As I expected there was a LOT of blood that came out. But the bump grew back, but this time it hurt (geez, I wonder why?). I popped it for a second time and, wouldn't you know it, it bled. A lot.

So now a cycle has begun where I pop this thing several times a day to relieve the pressure only to have it fill up again. And several times a day, Mike finds bloodied paper towel laying around the house.

What do you think...should I get this looked at?  Second question...what the heck is this thing?

If you're squeamish about the sight of blood, I figured the jaunty music would help lighten the feel of the video.

Also, there's a quick time lapse in the video...it only took about two minutes to fill the paper towel with blood.

  1. I have no idea what it is, but yes, I would get it checked out.

  3. At the speed the blood is coming out it looks like you're tapping into a vein. The better question is why do you keep popping it?

  4. Hey Bo! I keep popping it because it hurts. After it's popped, I get about an hour of relief before it starts to build again.

That and I like to watch the blood drip out :-)

My doctor is back in his office on Tuesday and I'll be getting it looked at then.
