As I type, Mike and Colby are packing up to leave for their annual mens-only fishing trip up north. Joel will be picked up to go to his mom's house shortly after school. After that, I am a FREE woman this weekend. Oh, the fun I am going to have :-)
A year ago, I remember thinking about how drastically my life was going to change once Katelyn was born. I remember sort of dreading my loss of freedom and lamenting how I wouldn't be able to do stuff. Fast forward to today and I'm more than ecstatic at the thought of having three days to just us girls. And I can't help but laugh at the thought that one of the things I'm looking forward to the most is uninterrupted cleaning - I can wash the floors and know that the hems of jeans that have been dragged through spit in the Walmart parking lot won't be contaminating my floor. Or that the fresh hand towel I put out in the kitchen (after the guys leave) won't be hung up half-assed and sopping wet.
Oh yeah...I know how to live on the wild side.
