Summer Lovin'

I must say that I'm quite enjoying this whole "no working" thing this summer.  Even though I'm still busy with Sweet Baby K and chasing after Katelyn, I'm really digging not having a job.  I really wish we could afford to have me home all the time, but unless we win the lottery, that's not going to happen any time soon.

I've been applying for tons of jobs and I'm discovering that I'm either WAY overqualified (Hello Superstore and the cashiers with a grade 10 education) or else I'm under qualified.  The stupid thing with the "under qualified" is that, in essence, I'm still overqualified.  A lot of the jobs I've applied for require an Office Education certificate.  Shouldn't a university degree automatically trump any diploma or certificate?  Pshaw I say!

So, with no scheduled hours or a boss to report to, I've been having fun filling up mine and Kat's summer days:

We swim in her paddling pool (well, she swims in the pool because let's face it - if I sat in it, there wouldn't be any water left).

We go for walks in her little car.

We swing in the park.

We go to the lake and cuddle with Daddy while thunderstorms rage outside.

We've learned how to brush our teeth.

We shit in the paddling pool but don't notice it for a good 30 minutes and in the meantime, we drink the water and smooth down Kat's hair.

We bake cookies.

Nothing but good times :)

Left: cuddling at the lake
Right: our second capture of a lightning bolt this summer!

Top left: first moment in the pool and hating every minute of it!
Top right: realizing that this is actually quite fun

L-R: mimicking the Coppertone baby; playing peek-a-boo; leave it to me to post a picture of my kid's shit filled diaper and bathing suit

Top left: pretending to be a puppy
Top right: being Mommy's model for the website
Bottom left: we brush our teeth!
Bottom right: watching the parade (Bella looks uber impressed!)
