These last two weeks, we've had a nasty cold run through the house and it's currently my and Mr. Bubbaloo's turn. Miss K ended up with a double ear infection and this morning, Bubbaloo has a fever and is tugging at his ears. This will be our fourth trip to the doctor this week, not counting one appointment to physio for Bubbaloo (we are working on re-shaping his ginormous head) and one psychiatry appointment for myself (where we're working on making me not so bat-shit crazy). I really should just buy a monthly parking pass to the hospital.

The events of last week's school shooting rocked me to my core. I didn't watch much of the news. I didn't need to. 26 people were senselessly killed. Enough said. As I was reading Miss K her bedtime story about the Berenstain Bears picnic, I burst into tears. It hit me that there were now all these parents would never get to read a story to their beloved children. Not that I didn't do it before, but during this last week, I have seized every opportunity to cuddle, kiss, hug, listen to, play with and enjoy my children.

I missed writing Mr. Bubbaloo's three month blog post. Welcome to the perils of being the second child :)

I am excited for Christmas this year because we have chosen to have as stress-free of a holiday as possible. This means no travelling for get togethers, no packing up kids and presents. On Christmas Eve, we would normally join Mike's family, but not this year. We will have our own turkey supper with the boys before they head out to their mom's house. Christmas morning, which is normally spent with my family, will be just Mike, me and the kids. I'm looking forward to it!

I think part of the reason we want Christmas to be stress-free is because we know that January is going to be bat-shit insane. Joel is scheduled to have his surgery (getting metal rods inserted into his back) and now Mike needs knee surgery. I am going to be taking care of FOUR dependants. God bless clonazepam because I am going to need it, lest I end up getting totally tapped and kick Mike right in the patella.

There's a very good chance this will be my final post of 2012. Normally, I do a wrap up series of posts but I have a feeling I won't get to doing that this year :( In case I don't, I want to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year!

Four months has passed way too quickly :)

Good parents take pictures of boo-boos before attending to it, right? Miss K ran full tilt into the corner of the hallway. Nothing but talent, my friends.

This is a moment I never want to forget - the way that Bubbaloo looks at me when he's eating.
