Christmas Day seemed to come and go so fast...as it always does. I was up by 5:45am and was waiting to hear Katelyn wake up to see that Santa had come. I love love love seeing Christmas again through little one's eyes...it's so magical! By 7:00am, Mike was home from work and my parents came over to watch K and A open their gifts. Somehow, Miss K knew exactly which one to open first (her Nintendo 3DS) and she wasn't all that excited about it. It's like she expected it or something! She was almost more excited for her Minecraft calendar than she was for the DS lol.
After presents, we played for a little bit and then headed over to my mom and dad's to join my brother, his wife and their baby girl, as well as my grandma, for Christmas morning brunch. The three of us (Mike went to bed) wore our pjs over and I was happy to be quite relaxed. After brunch, it was another round of opening gifts and more playing. The kids and I came home for a nap before supper and then headed back to M and D's for turkey supper.
Boxing Day was a relaxing day with just K and I heading out to shop. We hit up Pennington's where I scored my coveted black leather boots for 50% off, along with a gorgeous purple sweater, some tank tops and some work out pants (now that I'm actually working out!). Brady and Kristan headed home a day early as their daughter had come down with a cold so there wasn't as much visiting today.
Tonight, after the kids fell asleep, I did a little more online shopping and scored some sweet deals from Bath & Body works and Addition Elle. Now? Here I sit in my new pjs with Amy Poehler's new book, waiting to be read. Hope each of you had a very merry day yesterday!

Merry (belated) Christmas Jyl! Sounds like a wonderful Christmas all around! Palmer was the same way with his Mario Kart game he asked Santa for as K was with her DS in that he too just kind of expected it. Funny kids! Hope 2015 is better than ever!
ReplyDeleteI plan on 2015 being my best year yet...even better than when I was pregnant lol
