Today, you are three. You have made three big trips around the sun already. I can't believe that much time has passed since that first moment I held a squiggly, peeing, freshly born baby you in my arms. I'll never forget the second time I got to see you…the nurses had bundled you so tight, your face was squished like that "Go Faster Daddy" game where you smush your hands against your cheeks and tell the story. It was adorable :)
You are sensitive. You are sweet. You are polite. You are feisty. You are a car lover. You are quick to forgive. You love "Baby" (aka Katelyn) and run to her when you are hurt or scared. You love Thomas the Train. You LOVE pizza. You would drink chocolate milk all day if we let you. You love being outside, playing in the water or the dirt. You love love love being at the lake, playing in the water and are getting more and more adventurous! YOU are the perfect final addition to our family.
Thank you for being the sweet, cuddly baby boy that you have become. You love to cuddle at bedtime and would sit with us all night if you could. You love having your forehead rubbed in order to fall asleep. If I stop, you grab my hand and smack it back onto your forehead for more. You love your cars and will quietly play for hours on end. You are a mothers' dream come true when it comes to self-entertaining!!!
I wish for you that you continue to grow and explore. I hope that pre-school is the perfect fit for you and that you make a ton of friends. I hope your language continues to expand and your sentences get longer and longer. I wish for you much love, laughter and play in this coming year.
