My Goat

I feel this need to post some things that really get my goat...basically my pet peeves. Maybe I'm wanting readers to identify with my pet peeves, therefore possibly validating my beliefs and essentially telling me that I'm not crazy for letting all these things totally drive me nuts. Maybe I just need to vent. Here's my list:

1) people who wear their sunglasses inside (unless you are blind or an A-list celebrity, this is never acceptable)

2) busy signals

3) Superstore cashiers

4) people who brag all the time

5) people who constantly have to 'one-up' you

6) people who can never admit they are wrong

7) people who use names in stories and they act like you know the person ("So, Dan was over the other night and he and Heather had a blow-out fight because Nigel said..." Who the frick are Dan and Heather and Nigel??)

8) when your/you're and its/it's are used incorrectly

That's all I can think of off the top of my head...I'm sure I will add more as time progresses. Any one of these things has the ability to make my hand clench up into a claw as I show my fangs and make a growly "eeerrrrgh" sound...ask Mike - he knows the look! As I re-read over my pet peeves, I want to make sure people don't think I'm a miserable wank so I will also eventually post a list of things that I love. But not today.
