Since I've been off work, my life has obviously been fairly tame. My days get filled up with grocery shopping, running errands, house cleaning, cooking, and laundry. I make my own schedule and if I don't feel like doing something, I don't do it. My evenings are spent tending to Joel and, once he's in bed, reading. Not a heck of a lot of excitement in any given day.
Since yesterday, my life is suddenly filled with what feels like a million things to do. And I love it. I love having a scheduled time-line laid out for me and an order to follow. I love making "To Do" lists for the week and then breaking them down into daily "To Dos". Since we've decided we are going to Disneyland for Easter, I now have a reason to use spreadsheets on Microsoft Office again and I get to use a colour-coding system for all my planning. Who would have ever thought I would turn into a Monica???? I'm also planning on taking a couple of university classes through Athabasca....once all this craziness dies down, I'm going to need something to fill up my days!
Even today is filled up with thing after thing to do. My parents, Brady and Kristan are coming over for supper tonight so I am scurrying around cleaning and prepping supper. At the same time, I am trying to organize mine and Mike's road trip to Alberta next week. I am picking him up from Cold Lake on Thursday and then we are going to toodle through the province and visit friends in Sherwood Park, Red Deer and Ponoka. But I'm feeling like a puppet master trying to orchestrate who we're visiting when and where and then trying to book appropriate hotels. And on top of all of that, I'm trying make a DVD for Mom and Dad's trip to Thailand before they get here for supper.
I'm busy, things are getting done, I've got a great soundtrack to accompany my day (Juno!) and it's a beautiful day outside...who could ask for more?
