Because Mike and I only talk on the phone once a day, I have to store up many little bits of information and then spew them all out within a fifteen minute time frame. Our conversations are rarely sequential. We (or more specifically I) jump all over the map and never talk about any one thing for a lengthy period of time. Here are some of the tidbits I told Mike tonight:
- I added 12 new fish to the tank tonight (for a whopping total of 17). I should make up a pool sheet and bet on which ones are going to die first because that cannot be healthy for the tank. Oh, well, Petland sold them all to me so I hope they know what they're doing.
- I am registering Joel for Camp Easter Seal tomorrow. Joel wanted to make sure that I would tell the counsellors that he wants to bunk with his best friend, Ashton.
- Shandi is deathly afraid of fireworks.
- I found an alternate date to attend the Stuart McLean performance with me since Mike won't be here for our anniversary night. Mike responded with, "Yeah, but will she put out like I do?".
- the book "Confessions of a Shopaholic" reads like it was written with me in mind.
- since the boys are gone for the weekend, I am not getting out of bed before noon tomorrow.
- since Joel and I have to be at Royal University Hospital (for his annual EEG) at 7:30 on Monday morning, we are going to drive down the afternoon before and stay at my brother's place.
- on Tuesday night, the boys and I will head back to Saskatoon for Britt's birthday supper
It doesn't look like Mike said very much during our conversation tonight. In fact, there are times he could put the phone down and walk away and I wouldn't even know the difference.
Marc just ordered a copy of "Confessions" for me on BookMooch. If you enjoy it, I imagine I will too. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I really want to see your fish.
The fish themselves aren't anything too spectacular...I only buy the non-aggressives so they are slightly boring. But just sitting and watching the tank is sooooo relaxing!
