But enough about that devil's spawn...I don't want to think about him or his psychopath ways anymore. All I need to know is that Dusty (the cat) is no longer in that home. Instead, I will paws (get it...pause?) and be thankful for my own four, sweet pets who will never, ever know that kind of treatment. Mind you, that is the sort of stuff that Shandi may have been subjected to by her previous owners given her nature of flinching and running from everything. And, of course, if you asked Ping, she would say she is abused on a daily basis when the contents of her food dish dips below the half-way mark (oh the horror!).

Have You Hugged Your Pet Today?
I am so disgusted with this that I can't even bring myself to repeat his name. It is just sickening. That demented little boy needs to be punished to the full extent of the law.

Sweet, curious Sophie who seems more like a mountain goat because of her tendancy to jump on my back (when I'm least expecting it) in an effort to be up as high as possible.
Ping...big, bitchy 18 lb Ping. She hates kids and anyone who isn't myself or Mike. But she does love a good belly rub and a warm vent to sleep on.
Baby Kitty...who got saddled with the most unoriginal name in the history of naming cats. She is the only cat that loves Shandi, is as skiddish as a baby deer and purrs so quietly you need perfect silence to hear it.
Shandi taking a quick cat nap (get it? cat nap? it's funny because she's a dog) with Baby Kitty in the back left and Ping in the back right (sleeping in the bottom of the hutch).
Sweet, shifty-eyed Shandi...everyone who has met her has fallen in love with her. She is so gentle, so shy...so goofy. I am not a dog person - I am a Shandi person.

OMG Jyl, i had not heard about this terrible YouTube thing. It's sickening as you said. Yuck, now i wanna throw up. I don't think i'd have been able to watch it when it was still on...
ReplyDeleteI couldn't even watch the video. I got to the first part of the abuse and had to turn it off - I felt like someone was jabbing a knife into my heart - I felt like throwing up. Those people need to be punished. Wasn't there a study about children who abuse animals that turn out to be serial killers? We'd better get these two while we still can.
ReplyDeleteThat poor, poor, poor little kitty. My soul hurts for what it had to go through - I'm so glad those idiots were stupid enough to expose themselves and get caught!!
It is so horrible...
ReplyDeleteI have no words...
OH! Shandi is really so sweet, she looks just adorable!
