This Is Going To Be Bigger Than My Wedding

When Mike and I got engaged in April 2006, we planned our wedding for August of that year. That's right - four whole months to plan our wedding. Not only did we pull it off, but we did it well AND under budget. I think in total, we spent roughly $3500 on our wedding (which included the cost of my dress but does not include the $1000 to finalize Mike's divorce a mere eight days before our wedding but that's a whole other story).

It's only March and I'm already caught up in the throes of planning my 30th birthday party in August. I've been planning it since January so that's eight months worth of discussing, planning, preparing and shopping. When I get excited about something, I tend to get realllllllly excited. Like jump up and down, talk your ear off excited. Be prepared to hear a lot more about my birthday over the next few months.

The theme for my party is going to be Hollywood Movie Extravaganza Gala Fest 2009. I already have my costume picked out (well, I have a few in mind anyways - maybe I'll do costume changes throughout the night?) and I have started to pick out decorations online (there is a TON of fabulous Hollywood party decor out there!). One of my plans for decor is to photoshop pictures of myself with various celebrities and put them in frames around the house. I was so excited when I thought of this that I decided to go ahead and test out some pictures. Keep in mind these pics were photoshopped in a matter of minutes and they need some final adjustments. But you get the idea...
