Do I Have Something In My Teeth?

Tonight, as Mike and I were out for a walk around our neighbourhood, I noticed a jogger on the opposite side of the street. From a distance, I would have guessed her to be roughly 20 years old. When the jogger was passed us, I heard someone call out, "J?!". I turned and saw it was my most favourite dental assistant from my dentist office. Joan is so bubbly and so happy, she actually makes me look forward to getting needles shoved into my gums :-) I should point out that Joan is a mother of three teenaged boys, is not 20, but she looks absolutely fabulous...who knew dental assistants could be so buff??

The last time I was at the dentist was back in November to get some minor work done. This was pre-IVF, but I had filled Joan in about the upcoming excitement. When I realized it was Joan calling to me tonight, she was down the street a house or two, I pointed at my stomach and yelled, "I won't be in for x-rays for the next 7 months!". She ran across the street and gave me a big hug and couldn't stop congratulating us. We chatted for a bit and then we continued on our separate paths. It's just so nice to know that there were/are so many people rooting for Mike and I to get pregnant.

As I turned and continued walking, I immediately rubbed my finger across my teeth and then asked Mike, "Is there anything in my teeth?" because, heaven forbid, I should have a speck of something in my mouth at 9:00 at night during an impromtu visit with someone from the dentist office :-)

  3. Hi Jyl! Hope you are feeling better...
It must not be easy what with the nausea and the crying but it'll soon pass...
When I read about your "boobs" in yesterday's post I felt a pang of nostalgia... I remember exactly that feeling and I so long to feel it again. That was my first symptom of pregnancy...
I wish I could see you and hug you like Joan did, but I can only do it through the web...for now!
    Have a great week end!
