My Funny Bump

I've been waiting and waiting for my belly to "pop". Given that I started this pregnancy with a little extra weight in the tummy area, I knew it would take a while to have a full-fledged baby belly. Since I am now 32 weeks preggo and still don't have a popped belly, I'm thinking I'm going to go the whole distance without having one of those beautifully rounded out bellies. Oh, well...belly or no belly, at least I know that there is a wee one in there who loves to roll, kick and elbow the bahjeezus out of my insides. And I really do love every little thump.

The top part of my tummy has really rounded out and does look like a preggo belly. But the bottom? Well, I still have that funny ridge where my pants used to sit. And I still have a flabby part hanging off the lower part of my tummy. My expanding uterus is under there somewhere...it's just tougher to see. It also depends on what pants I'm wearing...my jeans or cords make the ridge even more noticeable. My stretch pants (or fat pants as I call them) don't show the ridge at all.

I had posted before about getting professional maternity photos done. That plan has now changed. Since I am on EI and there is a TON of baby stuff left to buy, as much as I would love to have beautiful photos of my belly, it's just not practical. Instead, I will set up my camera and tripod and try to take my own photos. In the mean time, here's my best attempt at getting pictures of my (covered) pregnant tummy. I don't have the guts to expose my bare belly just yet :-)
