- to Katelyn, for being such a content, happy baby
- to everyone who has commented and shown their support with regards to breastfeeding and my decision to stop....THANK YOU!!!

- to Mike, for keeping this household running while I am asleep
- to my mom, for planning what is shaping up to be a wonderful baby shower on Sunday
- to Tide Cold Water laundry soap for smelling so damn good
- to Mike's ex-wife for loaning me seasons 1 and 2 of CSI so that I have something to watch in the middle of the night when there is nothing else to watch
- to EI for not giving me the run-around this time
- to fitting back into my pre-pregnancy underwear
- to being able to do up my pants again!
- to losing 22 pounds since giving birth!
Jeers
- to my pregnancy for leaving me with permanant leg damage (the whole shin-ripping thing hasn't gone away, plus there's a new constant burning sensation all day long)
- to this damn vageener infection that just won't go away
- to my iron pills for making me constipated
- to the laxative pills I have to take as a complement to my iron pills...one pill isn't enough, two pills are WAY too many (how's that for too much info?)
- to excessive hand washing for giving me such dry skin that it is actually starting to crack and bleed
- to our across-the-street neighbours who consistently park on our side of the street and block the end of our driveway
HA! Loved the end of this post...Don't make Katelyn mad, you wouldn't like her when she's mad!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you have more cheers than jeers!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried to go a to a GOOD physiotherapist to assess your leg damage? Some don't spend enough time or have enough experience. I have an awesome one in Saskatoon who is good at post-partum stuff. (She helped me with my back and seriously, I would have given her my life savings after she got rid of my pain, but it was only $70 for the initial visit...)
Did you see my long-previous comment about Floradix? It is a liquid, vegetable-sourced iron supplement...does not make you constipated. I would highly recommend getting rid of the iron pills & laxatives and getting this stuff.
My hands have been horrible since the birth of my 3rd child; I have spent a lot of $ on creams. I have discovered Spectro cream. You can get it most places. (Superstore has a no name brand that is half the price.) I don't know if you remember, but I am also a nurse, so I HAVE to get my hands healed before work or I can get infections in the cracks from all the germs at work.
Good luck to you! That's all my advice for today... ;)
OMG - I laughed so hard at the picture and the caption... I'm at work and let out a big LOL... they probably think I'm nuts... well... yes yes I am... but at least I can take comfort in the fact that you are as well.

Thanks for all the advice Jessica...I really do appreciate it. I haven't even mentioned my leg to my doc again (since the first time back in November)...the way I see it, there's not much that can be done to remedy it, but I hadn't thought of physio. I go back to see him at the end of Feb. and if it's still bugging me (which it likely will be), I'll point it out again.
ReplyDeleteI'll be looking into the Floradix as well...anything is worth a shot to get rid of this nasty "I can't poop ohmygod get out of my way I have to go right now!" cycle that I'm stuck in...not fun!
And I will definitely try the Spectro...I've seen it before, but for some reason I always associate that name as being a sex lubricant. I don't know why.
Seriously...thank you for the advice! I really appreciate it!
