Mystery Card

In the evenings, I've been finding things to busy myself with, rather than staring at the boob-tube. Granted, I'm still sitting in front of the TV watching whatever, but if Katelyn is content than I typically have some sort of project in front of me.

My latest project is putting all our cards into scrapbooks. Not scrapbooks as in each page being decorated up with stickers, cut outs and frilly edged pictures...scrapbooks like the old school kind that your mom glued your kindergarden art work in to. My mom kept a card scrapbook for each of us kids, so I wanted to continue the tradition. I have kept every card I have ever been given, so the other night, it was time to glue them into the book.

As I was going through the cards, I came across one that was unsigned. And it is really really bothering me that I don't know who it's from. It's a beautiful "Thank You" card where the pre-printed message talks about how, in this troubled world, it's refreshing to find someone who still cares and who's ready to reach out a hand in the hour of need. The inscription reads, "J - Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support you have given me when I truly needed it the most. Love You Always. Sorry for it being so messy". Here's where my newly gained CSI skills kick in...

I do not recognize the handwriting AT ALL. I have an eye for remembering people's printing/writing and this note just doesn't register. The writing is slightly messy which makes it tough to tell whether the author is male or female. I was obviously close enough to this person for them to sign it "Love You Always". If it was a co-worker or acquaintance, they would have likely signed it, "Thanks again" or "Regards". The word 'truly' is spelled 'turely' and the word 'for' is spelled 'far', which could mean the author has a lower education. And they apologized which means they are polite

So, basically what I'm looking for is a retarded Canadian hemaphrodite who is sloppy, obviously troubled and who loves me. You would think that would narrow my search but yah, not so much.

  1. My little girl received a card from Santa this year.. in the mail. I had NO idea who had sent it, so I went through all the cards she had received just after she was born. I tried to match up hand writing. ;)

Do you just glue the cards to paper?

  2. Did you have any success in matching the handwriting?

For mine and my husband's albums, I glued most of the cards right in (some needed to be taped) with no extra flair. For Katelyn's, I did buy some scrapbooking adornments just to add a little extra flair.
