And So It Goes...: Two Months Old (Updated)

Dear Little Miss Katelyn:

You are two months old today. I can't believe that it was only eight short weeks ago that you entered this world and changed our lives for the better. You are a very happy, smiley little girl...your smiles have really blossomed over this past week. Unfortunately for Grandma and Grandpa, they left on their holidays before they got to see a real smile from you! Gma and Gpa visited you almost every day for the first six weeks of your life. By the time they get home, you will have doubled in age!

I love waking up each day and seeing your perfect little face, soundly sleeping in the bassinett next to our bed. Most nights, you sleep through the night without any trouble. Last night, you wanted to party all night and refused to sleep for longer than fifteen minutes!! I think you were excited for your birth day photo shoot today (which will also be an Easter photo shoot).

Each day, you are discovering more and more about the world around you. You love to wear your rattle socks and kick your feet. When I put a rattle in your hand, you shake it like crazy even though you have no idea what you're doing! You love staring at my face and like to mimic my expressions, especially sticking out your tongue! You also like to stare at the pictures on the fridge and I enjoy pointing out all the people in your life who love you.

You are starting to coo, babble and shriek with glee. Up until now, the only noises you made were sad ones, so Daddy and I are very happy to hear more joyful sounds! You LOVE your bath time and, as much as I want you to stay little, I can't wait until you discover the BIG bath tub where you can have the jets on and toys to play with!

Each day that passes just gets better and better. I can't wait to see the changes that will happen in the next month!
