Ten On Tuesday On Thursday

In honour of yesterday being my wonderful husband's birthday, here are ten reasons why Mike is the perfect man for me:

1) He says, "Thank you" for everything I do.  Cooking supper, cleaning the kitchen, grocery shopping...everything.

2) When we're sharing a dessert in a restaurant, he always lets me have the last bite.

3) He doesn't let me get away with acting like a whiny idiot.  Well, maybe sometimes :-)

4) I know he means it when he says I'm beautiful.

5) If we're in a crowded place, he walks a step behind me and holds his hand on my lower back.

6) He has yet to throw me out of the car for all the back-seat driving that I do.

7) Because we never, ever, ever resort to calling each other names when we're arguing (we've always maintained that if we ever stoop to the level of calling each other things like b**ch or a**hole, our relationship will be over because it would mean we've lost respect for one another).

8) He was just as sad as I was when we put Ping and Sophie to sleep.

9) When he knows I'm scared of something, he doesn't tease me about it or try to scare me more (like my stupid ex-boyfriend used to do).

10)  He puts up with my un-ladylike ways.  I can belch.  Really.  Really.  Really.  Really. Loud.  Seriously.  It's like a mixture of a foghorn and a sheep bleeting.  Good belchers can say their name.  Great belchers can say the alphabet. I can belch out "Paradise By The Dashboard Light".  In one push.
