My Happy Place

We recently made the decision that it's time for a playpen.  Our little genius is on the verge of discovering the impossible act of rolling over and we want to do our part to contain her.  Plus, the playpen we found has three levels to it (I'm not going to bother explaining) so she can sleep on the middle level at night.  I'm still not ready to have her sleep in her room yet and this solves the too-big-for-the-bassinett-but-the-nursery's-too-far-away problem.

During the day, the playpen will be in the kitchen since that is where we spend the majority of our time.  As I currently type this, the extra space in the kitchen is filled with the computer desk, the printer stand, another desk, an exersaucer and a baby lounger.  If we add the playpen into the mix, I'll be sitting in the attachable bassinett to cook supper.  So, in order to free up some space, we're going to get rid of the extra desk.  Therein lies the fun.

Eliminating the desk sets a whole chain of events into motion and I am foaming at the mouth in preparation for the transfers.  I have everything plotted out except where the tupperware lids are going to move.  I'm sure in all the moves, a shelf will open up somewhere.

Large desk items ---move to---> baking dishes
Baking dishes ---move to---> less frequently used kitchen gadgets (salad spinner, bundt pan, serving dishes)
Kitchen gadgets ---move to---> cupboard above fridge that holds vases, more glassware
Vases/glassware ---move to---> downstairs pantry

Small desk items ---move to---> small drawer that hold cooking utensils
Cooking utensils ---move to---> large drawer that holds tupperware lids
Tupperware lids ---move to---> I don't know yet but I'll figure it out

Given my love for organizing things, you just know I've totally sketched this all out and made a good copy.  And laminated it.
