A Merry Day

It is with much anticipation
That I look upon tomorrow's sun rise
For a merry adventure awaits.
I shall travel by red steed
To the land where famous berry pies are made

My journey's purpose is to celebrate
The day a grand woman was born
So many years ago.
And whilst this be my focus,
There are other adventures to be had.

I hear there are markets
Where vendors join, side by side
And, with the steed safely reined in it's stall,
One can have their pick of vendors.
'Tis a noble place called "Preston's Crossing"

Once there, I shall visit a vendor
Whom meets the needs of many a craftsman.
There are ribbons and flowers galore.
My heart skips with much reverence
At the mere thought of these quaint items.

Adjacent to the ribbon man,
Lies a vendor whom is called "Ancient Mariner"
Where one can clothe their babes for a mere pittance.
My heart doth beat rapidly
A coon's farthing one could surely spend.

And so as this eve draws to a close,
And the babes are tucked safe away,
With a cup o' tea and some biscuits,
I shall retreat to the quarters
Where entertainment is abound.

Forsooth, sayeth I.

  2. I was pretty pleased with how it turned it...I didn't just want to say "I'm going to S'toon for my gma's bday and some shopping".
