Sorry About That :)

Like I said in the previous post's update, I felt really guilty, after I saw the comments coming in, that the post was an April Fool's day joke.  It warmed my heart to see people cheering for Joel and wanting the best for him :)  If you ever see a post about Joel and Ellen DeGeneres again, it will be for real.

On to other random topics....

....I appreciated the comments on the post about my migraine.  I was in to see my doctor about it today (I needed to get a sick note for the day of work that I missed).  Without even asking, he gave me a sample of Relpax (which is similar to the sumatriptan that Amarie mentioned in the comments) to take the next time I feel one coming on.  The only problem is that I have had several headaches over the last little while and, with each one, I think, "Oh, I hope this doesn't turn into a migraine!" because my headaches always start out the same...it's just a rare few that decide to take it to the next stratosphere of pain.  The only question I had to ask was why I still have a minor headache today (in the same spot I had the migraine).  My doc said that it can take up to a week for the blood vessels to go back to normal AND that I would be susceptible to another migraine in that time period.  Yipee.  Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

....I have a hearing test on Monday.  For those of you thinking, "Why?", well, the answer is simple...because everything is a competition between Mike and I :)  A healthy competition, but a competition nonetheless.  There is regular miscommunication that occurs between us and we both blame the other person for not hearing.  I stand by my belief that I have super-hearing; therefore, the blame lies with Mike :)  We shall see whom is right on Monday!

...we FINALLY got a pulley/lift system put into Joel's bedroom and the bathroom (and this isn't an April Fool's day joke! lol).  It was a long time coming and very sorely needed (pun intended).  As tall and strong as Mike is, Joel is getting too big and too heavy for Mike to lift him.  The lift might require a little extra time in the morning to get him ready, but it is so worth it!  Now that the lift is in and I don't have to do anymore heavy lifting, it means that I can pregnant again :)

...speaking of being fat, I joined Weight Watchers this past week.  As I stepped on their scale, I honestly thought I was going to set off some type of alarm that signified I had won "The Fattest Person In The History Of Forever" award.  Much to my relief, no bells rang and I wasn't handed any shameful certificates.  However, I currently weigh the most I ever have and it is beyond time for me to get off my asses and do something about it.  Today is day three and I'm enjoying the challenge of "staying within the range".  What can I say...I'm a numbers geek!

That's it for now :)  Here are a few pics of Kat and her sunnies that she refuses to take off.  This kid wears these glasses everywhere!

  2. Sorry, Dixie :)

Amarie: I took the hearing test and couldn't hear the 15 kHz. Hmmm...now I'm not so sure about my super hearing :)

I found your april fools joke to be quite funny even if you got me. I appreciate jokes that aren't related to being pregnant or if you were pregnant, having twins like was all over fb! good job. I will remember to be much less gullible next year!

i also use relpax which is really good. i get cluster migraines so you might as well. i get a whole bunch close together and then nothing and then a whole bunch and so on and so on. Hope this doesn't happen to you!!
