I need some help...if you were given a free, 10 day trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
My parents always had the vision of being able to take their children on a world vacation someday. Ideally, they had hoped to take us all together, but the logistics of getting all four of our schedules to mesh up just isn't happening. So, the next best thing is to take each family on a trip to anywhere they want to go.
How on earth do I even decide? Hawaii is high up on my list. Vegas is at the top of Mike's (not a chance, honey). So, I put it out there to you...where would you go and what draws you to that location?
Happy Wednesday everyone!
If I could go anywhere in the world, my crazy dream is to go on an African safari. Even though I am squeamish about bugs and weird food....but I seriously think it would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteSome of the other places that I would go given the opportunity would be Hawaii (specifically Maui), Ireland, Italy, New Zealand and Australia.
Oh yeah, and Disney World/Universal Studios/Etc in Florida would also be on my list!
ReplyDeleteI would also like to do an Alaskan and Caribbean cruise! :) I think that's all!
I would like to go to Prague and Greece and maybe a cruise of the Mediterranean, Bora Bora and the galapagos islands. That's all i can think of now but I know there a million other places I would like to go.
ReplyDeleteHave fun deciding!!
Angie: I would LOVE to go on a safari, but since Kat is coming with us, I'd be afraid a lion would mistake her for a snack. Or, that in a moment of frustration, I would throw her off the truck. Hawaii is definitely high up on my list. And Pompeii (in Italy). Argh! This is going to be tough to decide!
ReplyDeleteBecky: I've been to Prague (when I visited my sis ten years ago) and it is beautiful! I would love to go to Greece, but I would rather do that with just Mike as a romantic vacation.
I appreciate the input you guys!
Hi Jill,
ReplyDeleteI would highly recommend Hawaii. We went there for a wedding last November and had such a wonderful time. It is so beautiful and peaceful. We really enjoyed our time in Maui. We had Kinsey with us and many people had kids. We stayed in a condo, which was great. It also had two pools, and Kinsey loved playing in the water.
When I was in Italy, I regret not seeing Pompeii, but apparently a lot of the actual artifacts are in Naples. Italy was beautiful but that would be a hard (and tiring) trip with a child.
Anywho, just thought I would share my input!
Kyla (Deena's sister)
Thanks, Kyla! I really do appreciate it!!
ReplyDeleteI know it's not super exotic, but Mexico is a great place to take kids. The food is awesome, the plane ride is short, Mexicans appreciate family/kids, and it is quite economical so maybe you could go for two weeks!
ReplyDeleteWe have gone to the Mayan Riviera a few times and did you know people from Europe go there or their vacations? They can go to the French Riviera any time and the choose to go the Mayan! Anyway, the beaches and water are pristine, the snorkeling is awesome, and you can see the Mayan ruins.
But if I had a million dollars I would go to Fiji.
Hawaii!! Marc went prekids and we always said we would go back with kids. We are still planning on it and hopefully soon.
