Eleven Questions and Eleven Facts

I was nominated by the lovely Deena to take part in a getting to know you type post.  Her original post had to do with an award and nominating other bloggers to take part, but I'm feeling kinda lazy so I'm going to do it my way...hope this is okay, Deena :)

Here are Deena's eleven questions for me:

1.  If you could relive one childhood moment, what would it be? Awesome question and tough to answer. I can't think of one moment that was the most outstanding.  I want to say all the Christmases I had from age 4-10, but I'll go with the Christmas I got my Cabbage Patch Kid.  That was a pretty special one :)

2.  What are you currently reading? I just finished "The Crazy Game" by Clint Malarchuk.  A fascinating read written by the hockey goalie who had his throat slashed open by a skate and nearly bled out on the ice.  He lived with OCD, anxiety and depression (sound like someone you know?).  Currently on my bedside table is "How We Got To Now: Six Inventions That Changed The Modern World" by Steven Johnson.  It's an eye-opening book that involves things like ice, time and glass and how they shaped the world we live in today.

3.  If you could choose a different career, what would you pick? I would be an actress living in LA. Or a key grip.  Or an assistant editor.  Or anything in the movie industry that got me close to the glitz and glam of all things Hollywood.

4.  If you could move to another city, where would you go? As stated above, I would live in LA.  It is my mothership. I love celebrities

5.  What do you want for Christmas? I would love a gift certificate to one of our spas in town...I'm in desperate need of a solid massage!

6.  Favourite restaurant? The Bison Cafe down on Central in PA...they make the greatest paninis and homemade soups 

7.  On what do you spend the most money each month? Um....cigarettes.  I know, I know...gross, right?

8.  Most important quality in a friend? having the same sense of humour as me

9.  Favourite dessert? Any type of gooey, chocolatey cheesecake :)

10.  Wine or beer? Neither.  Chocolate milk.

11.  Are you good at keeping secrets? Nope.

Here are eleven random facts about myself:

1) I love yogurt but I cannot stand the smell of it.  As soon as I'm done eating it, the bowl has to be rinsed and as far away from me as possible.

2) I collect money from around the world.  I wish it was me that was going to these places to get it, but, alas, it is my parents that bring the money back for me.

3) I have super hearing.  I hear everything which means I hear nothing...make sense? This especially comes to light when I am talking on the phone.  Because I can't filter out any background noise, I have a hard time hearing what is being said.  

4) I have the ugliest, cracked heels in the world.  Seriously.  They are nasty. I should probably do something about that.

5) I am addicted to Medicated Blistex.  My hands start to sweat if I realize I am out and about without it.

6) I might have the ugliest heels in town, but I have been complimented many times on what nice toes I have :)

7) I once killed a bird by stepping on it.  Accidentally.  

8) My least favourite household chore is cleaning the litter box.  Mike can attest to that.

9) I have a really great singing voice, but no one knows that because I am way too shy to sing in front of anyone other than Katelyn.

10) I love sleeping.

11) I will never use a Kindle or Kobo or whatever they are called.  I would miss holding a book way too much.
