Life's Daily Challenges

I love making little games out of daily events. Some days, I use smoking as the challenge. On one day, it might be challenging myself to see how long I can go without a cigarette. On the flip side (and the incredibly unhealthy side), I challenge myself to see how few drags it takes me to finish a cigarette. If anybody's interested, my record is six. After a cigarette like that, I then challenge myself to see how long it takes me to stop coughing.

My latest challenge is trying to print very neatly when I am at work. The woman with whom I job-share has impeccable printing. Every letter she prints is flawless. All the letters are evenly spaced and it is easy to read. My letters are scratchy, they're strung together like I'm half-writing and there's a definite lack of proper spacing. Because we alternate days, we leave 'lesson plans' for each student for the following day. When I've finished filling in each student's daily plans, I actually feel embarrassed that that's the best that I can do. I'm thinking I maybe should have been a doctor. But everyday, I push myself to concentrate a little more and to slow down my hand movements. It would be my co-worker's decision as to whether I am improving, but I like to think I am.

  1. Nothing to do with today's blog but I can't seem to stop laughing Superkalifragilisticexpialodocious out of my head. The best part was Joel laughing at it too. Gotta love him to pieces :-)
