I'm On My Way

I am packed and ready to go. As I was talking with Mike last night, I mentioned that today feels like that first trip out to Hudson Bay...all nervous and excited to see each other again. Part of my excitement is the five hour drive. I love road trips - my CD book is jam packed with old favourites and newly burned discs. I made up a disc of my favourite Stuart McLean stories. I have a cardboard box stuffed with mine and Mike's favourite road trip snacks - licorice, 5 Alive juice boxes (tropical flavour), peanut M&M's for Mike, Swedish Berries for me, bananas, and, of course, all the fixings with which I will make road trip bunwiches. This is turning into quite a different road trip than the ones Mike and I are used to though...I have never booked us hotel rooms in advance. For the most part, we have normally slept in the van. Even on our honeymoon, we spent two nights curled up in the back seats! I may or may not blog from our hotel room. If not, have a wonderful weekend everyone!
