Mike told me not to leave the house today, not only because of the frigid temperatures, but because he has ordered something to be delivered. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it's flowers, but maybe it's a Ford Explorer.
Update: Alas, there was no Ford Explorer delivered here today. But a large bouquet from Safeway arrived here around 4:00. I phoned Mike as I was opening up the package. Mike asked if I liked the balloon. My response was, "What balloon?". Then, when I finished unwrapping the flowers, much to my dismay, I saw the leaves were all frozen and turning that dark, mushy green like rotten spinach and the roses were all smooshed! After a quick phone call to the floral department, I am set to pick up my brand new, fresh bouquet of yellow roses and my balloon at 8:30 tonight! I think I will pick up some mini sponge cakes, whip cream and strawberries and, once Joel is in bed, I will put on my PJs, make a pot of tea and curl up with one of the books my mother-in-law dropped off yesterday. Happy Valentine's Day to me!
