Everything I use in the shower is liquid. Obviously the shampoo and conditioner are liquid. But so is my body soap and my face soap. And what I've been dreading finally happened today...my routine was thrown out of wack and the wrong body parts were cleaned with the wrong liquids (twice).
You see, there's an order as to how things get done in the shower. There's no wasting any time and a strict procedure to follow. Well, it's not strict, but it does maximize time. The schmozzle began when I accidently picked up my body wash instead of my shampoo. They are eerily similar in appearance and I normally keep them on separate sides of the tub. But after cleaning the bathroom yesterday, I picked everything up off the floor and put them all back on the same side. I only realized my mistake when I began to question why my shampoo wasn't lathering up like it normally does. So, after realizing my mistake, I washed with and then rinsed out the shampoo. Now technically, it was time to condition my hair. But since I had already had two products go through my hair, part of me decided it was time to wash my face. After several thousand neurons misfired somewhere in my brain, wires became crossed and I reached for my conditioner. When I didn't feel the normal grittiness of my face wash, I once again realized I had made another mistake. Oh, well...at least my facial hair is soft, silky and quite manageable.
Every time I use my eye make-up remover I double check to make sure I'm not putting nail polish remover on the cotton swab. I did it once 10 years ago, though I noticed before I put it to my eye, and I've been traumatized ever since.
