A Couple Of Observations

I made a quick trip to Saskatoon today to drop off Joel's electric wheelchair. A few things I noticed:

- while we were in California, not once did we witness a case of road rage or assholish driving. Within two days of being back in P.A., we quickly lost count of the number of idiot drivers there are in this province (and especially this city). Here's a tip: on a divided lane highway, that little strip of road on the left hand side is for faster vehicles. If you're doing 110km/hr and you're slowwwwwly gaining on the vehicle in the right lane who's doing 107, when you look in the rearview mirror and you notice a vehicle gaining on you, you don't continue meandering in the left lane. That vehicle behind you is now going faster than you are and you get the heck out of the way, even if it means pulling back into the right hand lane before you've had a chance to pass Mr. 107. If you drove like that in California, you would be run over or shot.

- it's never a good idea to attempt to shove dog treats into a dog toy if you ever find yourself in the above situation (and you're the one doing the gaining).

- I still remember all the words to "Shoop" by Salt-N-Pepa, even though I haven't heard that song in ten years.

- Canadian business that have public restrooms need to get on board with the States and offer the paper toilet seat covers. And doors that open without having to touch the handle or knob (bathrooms in the States don't neccessarily have the latter, but if I ran the world, this would be first on my agenda).
