I'm tired of hearing the words, "I'm sorry...it didn't work this time".
I'm tired of waiting.
I'm tired of hoping.
I'm tired of dreaming and not having those dreams reached.
I'm tired of wondering.
I'm tired of hearing, "It'll happen when it's supposed to!"
I'm tired of people suggesting, "Maybe if you just relax..."
I'm tired of looking at all the cute baby stuff and wondering when I can finally start buying them.
I'm tired of watching other parents with their babies and wondering, "When will it be my turn?"
I'm tired of mentally baby-proofing my house.
I'm tired of using the "supposed to be a nursery" room as an office.
I'm tired of my arms aching to hold my own sweet little baby.
Well, then I guess it's a good thing that I'm finally pregnant.
YEAH!!!!! Oh Jyl, I am so happy for you! What amazing news. I was just so excited when I saw the test. You must be just thrilled. Congratulations!!!!!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jyl!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness! Congratulations! So happy for you all!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm guessing you're due around Christmas/New Year's. That's the best time of year to have a baby (imho -- that's when I had all of mine, ha ha).
ReplyDeleteHaving your baby in the dead of winter, they are used to wearing toques and being bundled up from the start. Those poor summer babies get used to wearing just onesies in the heat, then have to wear more clothes and hate it.
Also, you can leave the hospital with your newborn and just hibernate in your warm, cozy house. When you're ready for some short walks, she'll be little enough to fit in a baby bjourn under your winter jacket and stay very toasty. Then when you're ready for longer walks in the stroller, it'll be spring!
Also, you won't have to buy any summer maternity things at all. You probably won't need anything for this summer (maybe just a tad larger -- not real maternity-ish), and next summer you'll have a 5-month old. (Good thing we have long winters, medium springs & falls, and short summers.) Yeah, you'll save a lot of money only have to buy for one season.
And lastly, the smell of spring will always remind you of being newly pregnant!
(But I'm just biased, and I know some people love having their babies in the summer!)
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEAL!
