PINK!

I can be a little, well, eccentric let's say. Or odd. Or just straight up goofy. I should also mention that I have a bit of an obsessive personality as well. So when you mix the eccentric-ity with the obsessiveness, you can sometimes find me doing weird things.

Take, for instance, the painting of Baby's room. Yes, we're going ahead with painting it pink. If the ultrasounds were wrong, we're only out the $30 for a can of paint. And $35 for the chandelier (I would remove the pink jewels from it and hang it up in our bedroom). Anyways, I can sometimes get a little giddy when I'm excited about things. And when I'm excited I tend to clap my hands and dance. A lot. As I was doing the cutting in, I kept randomly yelling out, "Pink!" to Mike (who was sitting out in the living room). That's all he heard out of me every couple of minutes, "Pink!". Sometimes I'd say it in a high, squeaky voice. Sometimes it would come out low and raspy. I just couldn't help myself...I was just so darn excited to be starting the painting and, since I couldn't clap my hands with the paintbrush in them, I showed my excitement in an alternative manner.

There is still one more coat that needs to be done. But that hasn't stopped me from opening Baby's door and yelling, "Pink!" into the empty room. Let's hope this stops after she is born or else she's never going to get any sleep.

The old blue being covered up. I'm not sure why these two colours together make me think of "My Little Pony".

The uber cute chandlier that was on sale for half price!

The first coat of paint...it looks very pale in this picture (almost white), but it just a nice, soft, perfect shade of pink!

  2. It's so lovely! And I love that chandelier. It's going to be a baby girl, don't worry. I can tell by your look!

  3. If you are this excited about the pink paint I can't wait to hear what you'll be yelling out when you actually get the baby home! Looks great, I like that it is a nice soft shade of pink.
