Where I Been

Whenever there's a lull on my blog, I worry about what the readers are thinking (shocker - me, worrying?).  I wonder whether they think I've slipped into a depression and am hiding under the covers.  This last lull couldn't be further from the truth.  Not only have I been busy tending to my VERY content son, but I've also been busy kicking ass left, right and center.

I am on a crazy organizing/cleaning kick right now.  Bit by bit, I am purging every section of the house - every cupboard, closet and drawer.  Once the area has been purged, then it's all about organizing it - either to make it more efficient or to make it more pleasing to the eye.  I really should be taking pictures of the before and after, but by the time I'm done in one area I'm already running to the next project and don't have time to waste on pics LOL.

Mr. A is turning into an extremely content little man.  In his first few weeks at home, there was a fair amount of crying happening (way more than Miss K ever did), but that has since calmed down.  Now, the only reason he "cries" is if he's wet or hungry.  I put "cries" in quotation marks because it's not so much a cry as it is little grunts and shrieks.  The only time he does a full on cry is if we can't get to him fast enough.

Part of the reason I haven't blogged as much is due to the wicked Carpal Tunnel Syndrome I've been experiencing.  I'm not gonna lie - when I first heard about it, I thought it was secretaries just being wussies.  I now know that CTS is so much more than just a sore wrist.  I have lost feeling in my thumb, index and middle finger on my right hand.  I am rapidly losing grip strength and can barely twist the lid off a milk container.  I also get shooting zaps from my wrist to my elbow if I move my hand the wrong way...and they can really pack a painful wallop!  Because of the numbness in my fingers, I am constantly dropping EVERYTHING! It was funny in the beginning, but now it's just annoying. Lastly, my hand/arm falls completely asleep several times a day.  Not only is CTS annoying, it is quite painful as well.  In an effort to avoid surgery, I have had one round of acupuncture done and am going back for my next treatment this week.  I wear wrist braces at night to keep my wrists straight, but I still wake up with throbbing, numb arms.  As much as I want to avoid surgery, I am starting to get a little desperate and wanting a bit of a quick fix.  I just want my hand function back!

I had posted on FB about a follow-up post to my story about a Little Pink Car.  I am working on the post and I promise that it will be up this week :)  For now, enjoy some pics...

Eating supper at the computer desk because the table was covered with my newest project - a home management binder :)

A beautiful fall day for some girl time

I asked Mike to take a pic of me reading to the kids.
He took a shot of my cleavage instead.

  3. Becky...I will eventually get to doing a post about my purge/organizing (I'm trying to remember to take pics!). Maybe I'll hold off on passing along any tips until I see if I'm actually using them myself LOL

Kirstie...Miss K's skirt and tights are from Old Navy, the sweater and shoes are second hand :) A lot of her outfits are things I wish I could pull off :)
