Illusions

As Mike and I were making our way to the elevators yesterday morning in Edmonton, we looked out over the central courtyard. There was a group of girls standing together and posing for pictures. They were all wearing the same T-shirts and my first thought was that they were a bridal party. One 'bridesmaid' caught my eye in that she was really tall and skinny, but she had really terrible hair. She was almost balding in the front and the rest of her hair was long and stringy and dry.

We got down to the reception desk and the women were now posing for pictures closer to where we were standing. They were all wearing mini-skirts and high heels. My next thought was that it seemed odd that all the bridesmaids decided to wear such short skirts. When Mike first saw them, his first thought was that although it's beautiful weather outside, it's not that nice to be wearing those kinds of outfits. And then I heard one of the women speak. And I realized it wasn't a woman. And then I realized that none of them were women. Or bioglogically women anyways. Or maybe it's physiologically? I don't know. Anyways, the lady at the reception desk told us (under muted breath) that these 'women' were part of a group called "Illusions" and they were here for some type of conference. And they brought their wives with them. As interested as I was in getting a better look at these 'women', I really wanted to see what their wives looked like...
