I Need To Get This Sorted Out Pronto

As of late, I have been discovering foods that most certainly don't work with my stomach. Which really screws up what I can eat for breakfast. I need to eat a bigger breakfast since I eat at 6:30am and don't get to eat lunch until 12:00 (so that I'm not ravenous by 9:00 and chewing on the corner of my desk). I used to eat toast with peanut butter and brown sugar. When that started to disagree with me last Tuesday, I switched to bagels. Can't eat those anymore either. I've tried eating oatmeal as well. All these breaded/grain things wreak havoc on my stomach. So, I'm left with pretty much fruit. But one cannot eat enough fruit in the morning to stay full for five hours. Plus, bringing food into my classroom isn't an option (I have no where to wash my hands before I would eat anyways and, yes, I would wash my hands even before eating a wrapped granola bar).

So, I'm still playing the game of trying to find something I can eat that will fill me up for the morning and not just end up in the toilet five minutes after I eat it. Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining. I would much rather be in this "what can I eat?" predicament than not be pregnant at all. But I just really want to find something that will stay in me longer than it takes me to straighten my hair. And it's really only been breakfast that has been giving me trouble. I guess it's because I don't really eat much throughout the rest of the day (a half bagel sandwich and some carrots for lunch; a salad, some meat and veggies for supper). Who knew I would actually lose weight while I was pregnant?? :-)

  1. How about protein? Eggs? Omelettes (that way you could get some meat in there too). Or even just a scrambler if omelettes seem like too much trouble.

I found trail mix got me through the day when I was expecting.

Hoping you find a nice balance sooner than later, cuz that doesn't sound like fun.

  2. Would a smoothie work? Throw some fruit, yogurt or milk, ice, and maybe some ginger or mint to help with nausea? This might also be good because you wouldn't have to worry about hand washing before drinking it. You could make a couple and keep one in the fridge for your break time at work.

  3. BREAD with anything you like: ham, cheese, marmalade, chocolate, honey and butter (very very nutricious and healthy combination).
Can you get REAL bread the day before and toast it in the morning? A nice crunchy baguette?
So, a nice sandwich, one fruit or fruit juice plus, to choice, a tea or a coffee (better decaffeinated).
    OR:
Milk and cereals and one fruit.

Couldn't you get those nice wipes to bring in your bag to wash your hands? Can't you ever go to the toilet while you're at work?!?!?
