Well, That Escalated Quickly...

It started for me on Sunday night, with Bubbalo throwing up.  Poor baby had been sick all day Saturday, throwing up and the whatnot. Around midnight, Bubbaloo threw up more than any 30lb little guy should.  Our bedroom and hallway looked like someone had taken a two week old jug of rotten milk and sprayed it all over, champagne celebratory-style.  Mike was on the mend and had been the one holding Mr. A so he bathed him while I cleaned up the rotten milk puke.  Even had I not been bitten by the flu bug, that amount of puke would have been enough to make anyone hurl.

I woke up Monday, feeling not too bad.  A little dizzy and weak, but well enough to go to Walmart with Miss K.  Big mistake.  I nearly shat my pants in Walmart.  My store is closed on Mondays, so I came home and slept, hoping to ward off becoming any sicker.  Didn't work.  I spent the rest of the day, making trips back and forth to the bathroom. Around 11:00pm, I thought I was going to be okay.  I managed to choke down some dry waffles and figured I'd be able to run the store on Tuesday.

Tuesday morning, I was no longer emptying my stomach, but was super dizzy and extremely weak. I know I'm not feeling well when I pass on my morning coffee.  Mike said he would run the store for me and, while I'm more than confident in his abilities, I knew there were some things on the till he would need help with so we decided we'd all go in together.  Mike could run the store and I'd lay on the couch in our family room and help him from there.  By noon, Bubbaloo (who was still sick) was falling asleep in his highchair and Mike, Miss K and I were all curled up on the couch together.  When the thought of  "Fuck this shit" came to mind, I realized it's okay to have to close the store for a day.  The previously run kids' consignment store closed her store at random times on random days and I do NOT want to do things like that.  But when your doc tells you that you have a strain of norovirus, I think it's okay to close the store.  Plus, I wouldn't want to infect all of my customers with it.  I wouldn't even wish this on my worst enemy (just kidding...I totally would cuz she's the epitome of an evil bitch and deserves to feel the wrath of this illness...too bad it can't be transmitted via snail mail).

Anyways, after sleeping all afternoon yesterday (and a wonderful nap in a nice, warm bath), I was on the mend by supper time.  I knew I was coming around when I started my "eradicate all the germs" rampage...changing all the sheets, washing laundry, scrubbing bathrooms and so on. I am so thankful that this is all behind us.

With this virus making its rounds, the only piece of advice I can offer is wash your hands and do NOT touch your face.  Also, never EVER trust a fart.  Especially when you're sick.
